NEMAforce™ HB for Gnat Control
NEMAforce™ HB (Heterorhabditis bacteriophora) are entomopathogenic nematodes designed to control soil-dwelling pests at deeper levels within the growing media. Acting as active hunters with a “cruising” behavior, they seek out lethargic, deeply located hosts such as Japanese beetle larvae (Popillia japonica), rootworms, wireworms, and other beetle and fly larvae—moving effectively at depths of 1 to 7 inches. These nematodes penetrate insects through natural openings and release symbiotic bacteria that kill the host within 24 to 48 hours. After reproducing inside the host, new infective juveniles emerge to continue the cycle. They perform best in soil temperatures between 59° and 86°F, making them a highly effective solution for controlling deep-dwelling pests.
